I grew up in Somerset West and have always been drawn to anything water-related. Through all my experiences, I've come to appreciate the community within sailing. As I continued to build my sailing experience, I took on various roles, from crew member to racing sailor and instructor. Each role came with its own set of challenges and rewards, helping me grow not only as a sailor but also as a mentor to aspiring young sailors at the Theewaterskloof Sailing Academy. It was incredibly fulfilling to share my love for sailing. The highlight of my sailing journey came with that delivery trip across the Atlantic. It was a transformative experience that tested my abilities and taught me valuable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and the importance of adapting to ever-changing conditions at sea. I joined Atlantic Yachting in 2024 and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead—be it competing in more races, exploring new waters, or continuing to coach and inspire the next generation of sailors. My journey on the water is far from over, and I can't wait to see where the winds will take me next!
