(Excludes accommodation and food) 

What does my RYA Day Skippers ticket allow me to do?

The ticket does not expire after a certain period. You can sail as far from the shore as you want to, as long as you are back in a port by nightfall.

You can skipper a yacht of up to the following sizes:

  • RYA: 200 tons / 24 metres

Included

  • Navigational Equipment – on loan (option to buy own equipment)
  • Charts + All course material – which is yours to keep after the course
  • Personal logbook
  • Atlantic Yachting Cap

Excluded

  • Transport to Langebaan from Cape Town
  • Food and Accommodation during theory – you can choose to use our self-catering Atlantic Crew house @ R200.00/n (please bring own sleeping bag)

What you need to bring with you

  • Laptop / tablet + charger + plugs
  • Stationery: 2 x 2B pencils, eraser, examination pad/notebook
  • Suitable comfortable clothing
  • Sleeping bag and a blanket
  • Towels and toiletries
  • Warm socks and a beanie
  • Extra money for food and beverages
